Main role: LUT University lead efforts to develop a wind energy forecasting and optimsation framework, improving wind farm reliability and efficiency. This includes predicting meteorological conditions, optimising turbine siting and sising, and creating and Energy Production Forecasting model (EPFM). Additionally, LUT University will collaborate in mapping investment framework conditions across Europe by assessing energy load and price forecasting, regulatory principles, grid connection requirements, energy storage technologies, and ancillary services.
